K11 Double-sided Gold Printing Project

We have introduced the application of golden printing in hotel decoration before. In this issue, we share the application of gold printing in shopping malls.
The exhibition of this phase of K11 is "Black Lacquer and Gold Painting" The first immersive digital craft culture exhibition. The exhibition combines black lacquer and gold collections, contemporary digital images, immersive interactive experiences, and Cantonese culture. Through five exhibition areas, the "Reclining Wanderer" returns to the prosperity of Sino-Western cultural exchanges at the end of the seventeenth century, and has an in-depth understanding of China's "black lacquer and gold" ingenious craftsmanship.
The decoration of the exhibition area and the display of the gate of the shopping mall are mainly around "black paint and gold" theme presented. Among them, the biggest difficulty is the realization of "black lacquer and gold" on glass stickers--the screen area is large, and the double-sided golden screen must be realized. At present, the gold printing on the market is generally single-sided and small-area applications. Dual screens and such a large area are relatively rare.
According to the needs of Guangzhou K11, we specially customized the double-sided gold material. Various attempts and technological breakthroughs have been made on how to perfectly combine the large-format gold printing technology with the black lacquer screen, and finally the effect of "black lacquer with gold" is perfectly presented in the decoration of K11 shopping malls.
